Awkwafina
American musician and actor Awkwafina began her career with hilarious hip-hop tracks that addressed sexuality and identity with a comical wit before increasing her appeal to Hollywood. Born Nora Lum to Chinese and Korean immigrant parents in Forest Hills Queens her first experience with music came with the trumpet. Then, she started the classical and hip-hop genres. In college she focused on her studies and majored in women's journalism and the arts. for a brief amount of time in Beijing as well, she was also studying Mandarin. She didn't start focusing on music until the time she graduated. The track she released in 2012 My Vag a response to Mickey Avalon's My Dick found viral success on the Internet which led to her debut album Yellow Ranger in 2014. The other viral hit songs included queef track, and the witty NYC Bitchehome tour, which cost $. The latter was associated with Awkwafina's NYC, a 2015 travel guide. She began pursuing acting careers after completing her first two endeavors, author and musician. She's appeared in movies including Neighbors 2, Storks and Bad Rap. In 2018, she scored several notable roles that were a breakthrough, like Dude Ocean's eight or Crazy Rich Asians. The EP premiered in June.
