Sadie Amara Calvano was born in America. She is best recognized for her character of Violet Plunkett from the CBS show 'Mom.' Calvano is a Californian who was interested at first in competitive gymnastics. Later, she decided to pursue a career path in acting. In an episode of CBS's"NCIS," the show "NCIS", she debuted in the year 2010. The biographical crime thriller film J Edgar was her big screen debut a year after. She has become one of today's most promising actors in recent times. In 2011, she was nominated for the Young Artist Award in the category of Outstanding Performance for Young Actresses 11-15 for her work in NCIS. In 2013 she was also nominated for yet another Young Artist Award for her appearance as a guest on Disney XD's comedy show 'Kickin' it'. Calvano played a role in a handful of episodes of "Mom" in the Fourth Season. She was the primary role in the initial three seasons of the series. She was awarded the Gracie Allen Award of Outstanding Female Actor - Rising Star for her performance in Mom.
